Recently installed this knot in a handle of mine and totally surprised as to the performance of this knot. It is amazingly similar to my Rooney Super Badger brush. In a blind test I'm not sure I could differentiate from the two. It loads from a milled soap without problem and has the proper amount of backbone and will splay adequately just as my Rooney Super badger and not near as springy as the one other synthetic brush I have. I did mount the brush a bit higher in the handle by placement of a nylon washer in the handle leaving room to mount higher but as for my preference is perfect as mounted. Very pleased with his knot and now having the advantages of a synthetic knot while maintaining the feel of an excellent badger knot! I will be replacing another badger knot brush and a boar brush going synthetic as no fear of losing hair and less maintenance
